All too often, an organization will purchase an ultrasonic detector with the good intention of establishing
an active leakage detection and reapair
program. Unfortunately many ever achieve any notable degree
of success. The success of an air leak detection program is based on 3 key elements...

Advanced Leak Detection Technology

We use only the most advanced, most effective ultrasonic technology available. While older "heterodyne"
type ultrasonic detectors work well for
other applications (steam traps, bearings), we have found it
to be very limiting for leak detection. Our research and testing has shown "DND" to be the
fastest and
most effective means of finding air leaks. This means the leak survey gets done faster, and more leaks
are found.

Not only should you be concerned with overall leakage in your plant, keep records of what areas/machines
have the most leaks, and more importantly
which areas have the highest degree of leakage. There
might be trends in particular parts which leak more than others allowing you to make intellegent
decisions
on replacements. This information is extremely valuable as it not only allows you to eliminate present
leakage, but quite possibly FUTURE leaks as
well!

Repair Procedures

Nothing is gained by an air leak detection program if repairs are not made in a timely manner. A good
report allows maintenance to use resources wisely,
taking a strategic approach to fixing the leaks,
and completing the task quickly. You may find that 20% of your leaks are responsible for 80% of your
leakage!
This is particularly valuable should the survey discover a large number of leaks leaks or more.
How else would you handle such a task?
